Overview
Job Title: Senior Business and Systems Consultant (Contract)
Location: Remote (Hybrid options available after initial onboarding)
Contract Duration: April 1, 2025 - March 31, 2026 (with potential 2-year extensions)
Compensation: $50 - $100 per hour
Position Overview:
One of our public sector clients in Edmonton, Alberta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business and Systems Consultant to join their team for a modernization initiative aimed at enhancing affordable housing access across Alberta. This contract position will play a pivotal role in optimizing their Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM system (HOME), integrating with the Alberta’s 1GX ERP system, and decommissioning legacy applications to improve overall service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive business analysis activities to assess the current and future states of Alberta's housing programs and related stakeholders.

Facilitate design reviews, architectural assessments, and issue management meetings to align functional requirements with the organization's ICT strategies.

Lead stakeholder workshops, preparing materials, agendas, and reports to drive informed decision-making.

Maintain and update business architecture artifacts to ensure accurate documentation of organizational structures and system functionalities.

Provide change management support during the decommissioning of legacy systems with minimal operational disruption.

Contribute to the development and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs and integration with the 1GX system.

Identify and analyze business and technical requirements from internal and external partners to support system modernization efforts.

Develop evaluation criteria and conduct analyses for multiple solution options to determine the most effective implementation approach.

Define acceptance criteria and create comprehensive test plans and cases for solution enhancements.

Establish transition strategies for the seamless transfer of business rules, processes, and information between systems.

Lead enhancements for organization's Digital Solutions software to improve accessibility and efficiency.
Requirements
Qualifications:

Proven experience in business architecture, system integration, and data management strategies, particularly in public sector digital transformation.

Extensive experience in CRM (especially Microsoft Dynamics 365) and ERP integration projects.

Strong background in business process reengineering and workflow optimization.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Experience in change management and working with legacy systems.

Ability to facilitate workshops and actively engage with diverse stakeholders.

Knowledge of government cloud security policies impacting technology solutions.
Work Arrangement:
-
Candidate must reside in Canada, and all work must be performed within the country.

Initial onboarding and key stakeholder meetings will require in-person attendance at the headquarters.

Subsequent work arrangements may be hybrid or fully remote depending on operational needs and mutual agreement.
Job Type: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months ( with a potential of 2 year extension depending on needs of the organization)
Pay: $50.00-$100.00 per hour
Expected hours- Minimum 30 per week( less or more depends on needs of the organization)
